Comparison of different magneto-rheological fluids’ stability

The purpose of this paper is to compare two different methods for describing the sedimentation in different MRFs. It was decided to obtain electric resistivity of the MR fluid under magnetic field and to measure inductance of the solenoid, which is around the MR fluid, for diagnostic of the sedimentation. The electrical resistivity of the MR fluids and inductivity of the solenoid was measured daily for 11 days for 5 different MR fluids: (Lord MRF-140CG, Lord MRF-122EG, Liquids Research Company MRHCCS4-A and Liquids Research Company MRHCCS4-B and MUDZH-3 made in A. V. Luykov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute, Minsk, BY). These two methods and according procedures are described below

Smart sensors for estimation of power interaction of an athlete with water surface when paddling in the cycle of rowing locomotions

Theoretical justification for the choice of the strain-resistant element location on the loom of the canoe paddle in order to register the power parameters of interaction of an athlete with the paddle in natural conditions of rowing locomotions is presented in the article. Taking into account the introduced simplifications, a classical task of calculating the materials resistance from which the loom of the paddle is manufactured is submitted. The obtained result is reliable and allows with sufficient degree of accuracy to determine mechanical stresses arising in the process of rowing in location of measuring devices – tensometers, which provides registration of objective indices characterizing power of forces applied by an athlete in the support (water) part of a stroke. Besides, based on the MEMS-sensors readings, mathematical calculation of forces applied to the paddle in the process of rowing was made, which in specified conditions allows to estimate regularities of values ratio of the recorded dynamic parameters

In this study research was carried out on 5 male adult BALB/c mouse with a weight of 18±5 g. The temperature was at 22±2 °C and animals were kept under the condition of 12 h of light and 12 h of darkness (light on at 08:00 am) and free access to water and standard diet. All 5 mice were affected by three different harmonic oscillations one time and after 24 hours 4 of them were affected by the same oscillations (Fig. 1) and one was placed separately for control. At the end of the experiment, after euthanasia using CO2 chamber blood samples were collected by cardiac puncture. We noticed that ultrasound waves 20 MHz changed mice red blood cells structure and we found pathological forms of erythrocytes. Analysing morphological structure of erythrocytes were determined 46 abnormal red blood structure forms and atypical cells (30 codocytes, 8 stomatocytes and 8 acantocytes). Moreover, we determined that changed some normal behavior characteristics and increased grooming process
